XCR ’19 Round 1 – Jells Park Relays

In wet and windy conditions, Box Hill teams picked up six medals and two fourth placings in the opening round of the XCR’19 season. Our men’s and women’s Over 50 teams both had big wins, while our Men’s Premier Division, Women’s Division 2, Women’s Over 40 and Women’s Under 20 also finished on the podium.

Andre Waring and Will Potter put in great performances in the men’s Premier Division to be our fastest men on the day. In a welcome return to competition, Courtney Powell was our fastest woman, leading our Division 2 women’s team to a 2^nd place finish. 

Also a big welcome to our new members who competed for the club for the first time. Dylan Perera, Ross Thomas, Shane Holt, Andy Searles, Jack Ewison, Kaman Ip, Camille Ouellet and Sophie Moore all competed for the club for the first time and we wish them all the best on their athletic journey with Box Hill. Also welcome back to June Petrie and Courtney Powell.
