Box Hill men’s premier division team put in another tremendous performance to win the teams race in the 15km road race around Lake Wendouree. This win puts the team nine points clear at the top of the ladder.
Box Hill had a great day at the Albert Park Road Race, with our Premier Division men’s team taking out the team’s race and Lachlan Doehmann winning a gold medal in the U16 3km event.
Box Hill’s men shone at the Sandown relays, collecting two gold medals, two silvers and a bronze.
Georgia Griffith has continued her stellar track season with two impressive performances over 800m in Portland, Oregon. Coached by Box Hill’s Stephen Ellinghaus, Georgia is moving closer to breaking the two-minute barrier.
It was a big day of cross country races at Bundoora Park with about 1700 athletes taking part in the Athletics Victoria and Victorian All Schools Championships. Box Hill had some great results, winning the men’s division 2, Under 20 and Over 50s team events and finishing 2nd in the men’s Premier Division.
Box Hill athletes led by Andre Waring, Scott McKenzie and Ashlee Treagus performed exceptionally well in Round 3 of the XCR’18 season held on a sunny afternoon at Cruden Farm, Langwarrin.
Box Hill had a great day in the 8km cross country at the new venue of St Anne’s Winery, Myrniong. We had team wins in the men’s Premier Division, Men’s Division 2 and the Men’s Over 50 division.
The XCR’18 season started with a bang at the cross country relays at Jells Park on April 21, with about 1000 runners including seven Commonwealth Games athletes competing.
The Box Hill winter season was launched with the annual club 5km handicap event, along the bike tracks of Gardiners Creek.
