There were plenty of PBs at the inaugural Whitehorse Twilight, with athletes taking advantage of the fast new track and ideal weather conditions.
Box Hill hosted a very successful day of the Victorian Relay Championships last Saturday. Not only was event a great success, the club also picked up 10 medals: three gold, four silver and three bronze. Our open women’s 4x400m team qualified second fastest for the final to held on at the Zatopek 10.
There were some strong individual performances from our junior athletes this weekend, with most competing at Yarra Ranges. The other venue was Meadowglen.
Round 5 of Shield was held in sunny conditions at Knox and Williamstown.
Round 4 at Doncaster and Ringwood saw more strong performances from our under 16 girls and boys teams, as well as our open women and over 40 men.
Box Hill athletes had to travel a bit further to compete this weekend to contest AV Shield Round 3 at Casey Fields and Williamstown.
Round 2 of AV Shield competition was held at Nunawading and Doncaster on October 13. Congratulations to our Under 16 boys and girls teams, who both won the round for White Zone.
The AV Shield 2018/19 season kicked off with competition at Casey Field and Aberfeldie. Participation numbers were lower than usual but there were some good team results.
Box Hill completed another successful XCR (cross country and road racing) winter season, winning three premierships including the men’s premier division title for the third year in a row (and the fifth time in six years).
