XCR’15 ROUND 3 AT BALLARAT ON THIS SATURDAY – Entries Close Wednesday at noon
The next round of the XCR’15 season will be held around Lake Wendouree, in Ballarat, on this Saturday, May 30. If you have not already purchased an XCR’15 series ticket, you must enter via the AV website by noon on Wednesday. The start/finish line is situated on Wendouree Parade, just north of Carlton St. Please arrive early as parking is limited.
2:00pm: Junior 5km road race (all junior age groups)
2:30pm: Open men’s and women’s 15km road race.
XCR’15 ROUND 4 AT BUNDOORA ON JUNE 13
Please note that round 4 of the XCR’15 season, the cross country championships at Bundoora Park will include the Victorian All Schools cross country championships. Entries for the open and U20 Athletics Victoria events close on June 10, but entries for the All Schools Championships close on Monday, June 1 at midday.
CONGRATULATIONS EFIM
As announced earlier this month at the Club Presentation Night, Efim Shuravetsky has been awarded the Henri Schubert Award. This is the highest award presented to an Australian coach by Athletics Australia at the recommendation of the Australian Track and Field Coaches Association. It is presented each year to a coach “who has rendered distinguished service to Australian Athletics”. Congratulations to Efim on earning this prestigious award.
WHITEHORSE POLE VAULT CLUB MOVIE NIGHT
Phillipa Hajdasz has been selected to represent Australia and compete at the IAAF World Youth Championships in Cali, Columbia this July for Pole Vault.
However it does come at a cost with travel, food and accommodation etc.
To help raise funds there will be a Movie Night on Sunday, May 31 at the Palace Balwyn Cinema, 231 Whitehorse Rd Balwyn.
A light supper will be provided at 5.30pm up-stairs at the cinema, the movie will start after that at approximately 6.30pm.

Tickets are $20 and can be collected from any of the pole vaulters or you can transfer the money to the following NAB account with your name as the transfer description and number of tickets you are paying for.
